Golf

Four golf courses located in Kitzbühel as well as 30 other courses all located within 100 kilometres make the area the golfing centre of the Alps. Golf in Kitzbühel looks back on an impressive history: it has been practised in the so-called city of the chamois since as early as 1955. It all started at the Kitzbühel Kaps golf club.

Cycling

Kitzbühel is the place to be for cyclists. No matter which discipline you prefer, 1,000 kilometres of road cycling paths in a large variety of distances and difficulty levels as well as an extensive network of trails and Alpine service roads provide multi-faceted exercising opportunities. The scenic street leading up to Kitzbüheler Horn is Austria's steepest cycling road and has become a classic road cycling street for road cyclists around the world. Kitzbühel is a true centre of athletic activity and offers endless cycling opportunities.

Walking and Hiking

Hiking is the favourite sport among summer tourists. Kitzbühel's extensive selection of hiking trails makes the area a hikers' paradise. Great value Italian Pizza and past bar/restaurant. Large pizza cooked in traditional wood oven. Contemporary style with Lively atmosphere.

Neuwirt

Michelin star restaurant with fantastic food and friendly atmosphere. Quality international and typical Austrian dishes. Good wine list and service. High end prices but not crazy. Booking advisable in high season.

Gasthaus Chizzo

Quality restaurant serving typical Austrian menu. Large portions with friendly service. Average Kitzbuhel prices. Try out the Club & lounge which goes on to the early hours and dance off some of those extra calories.

Wirthaus Steurberg

Typical Austrian style Tyrolean restaurant. Great food and friendly service in a cosy atmosphere. Austrian menu. Family run.

Nightlife.

Kitzbuhel has some great apre ski and nightlife. Straight after skking head for one of the apre ski bars for a great atmosphere. Try out The Londoner if you enjoy live music and a lively time. It gets the night crowd from about 10pm onwards. Flanagan's is a popular Irish bar with lively atmosphere and live football on big screens. Pavillion has a good apres ski scene and not so expensive. Chizzo is one of the best night bars/club with good sounds and lively crowd. Fair prices. This is just a small selection of bars and pubs that Kitzbuhel has to offer, this town has something for everybody.
